Michael T. Balke, DVM
A native of Illinois, Dr. Michael Balke has cared for pets as an associate veterinarian at Webster Groves Animal Hospital since 2008. He attended the University of Missouri - Columbia and received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 1999. He went on to attend the University of Missouri - Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine, where he was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.
Dr. Balke is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association, the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Law Association and the Greater St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association. His professional interests include surgery, dentistry, internal medicine and dermatology.
When he's not at the hospital, Dr. Balke enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Jody Balke, who is also a veterinarian at Webster Groves, and their young son, Kaleb. Their four-legged family members include dogs Bernie and Ted and a cat named Chick. Dr. Balke loves the outdoors and can often be found outside running, hunting and fishing.
