Michael T. Balke, DVM
A native of Quincy, Illinois, Dr. Michael Balke has cared for pets as a General Practitioner at Webster Groves Animal Hospital since October of 2008. He attended the University of Missouri - Columbia and received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology in 1999. He went on to attend the University of Missouri - Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine, where he was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2003.
Dr. Balke is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Greater St. Louis Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Dental Society. His professional interests include surgery and dentistry.
When he’s not at the hospital, Dr. Balke enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Jody Balke, who is also a veterinarian at Webster Groves, and their young sons, Kaleb and Nolan. Their four-legged family members include a German Shepherd named Ted and a cat named Chick. Dr. Balke loves the outdoors as well as running and cooking.
